The collection consists of letters written by Paul Manship, the sculptor, to Ben Storey of St. Paul (Minnesota), newspaper clippings, and an article about Manship's sculptures. Manship's letters and the newspaper clippings chiefly concern the removal of his sculpture of the Indian boy and his dog from Cochran Park (at the corner of Western and Summit avenues, St. Paul) to the Conservatory at Como Park, St. Paul, and the acquisition by the St. Paul Art Center of a portion of Manship's works for its collection. The letters also contain brief reminiscences of Manship's early life in St. Paul.
